Tomorrow, Saturday September 5, we'll be doing an all-day doc sprint. We officially start at 11 a.m. CET (i.e. that's when I'll show up, but feel free to come earlier if you want) and go until 5 p.m. CET, so that is 5 a.m. - 11 a.m. EDT (find your time). The main sprint will be in Paris at the Drupalcon venue in the sprint room that is towards the front of the building (up the stairs, to the right), next to the Ping Vision room. For folks that aren't here in Paris, we'll also be on IRC in #drupal-docs on the Freenode network.
We have a sprint task area on Drupal.org that provides some guidance and a place for us to create temporary pages to help organize work or play with drafts. The major tasks that we will focus on for much of the sprint are working on Drupal 7 docs and style guide conformance throughout the handbooks.
In addition to working on the docs themselves, I'd also like to take time to have some small meetings about some important topics.
- What are the first steps for a mentoring/peer-to-peer system to assist new docs members?
- What can we do to hook up coders and documenters? (I'd like this to be a discussion with some folks from the code sprinting as well.)
So feel free to swing by for however long you feel like.
